Rarely do I ever talk about auctions. Why? Because I don’t do them (it’s one of my soapbox issues). But if you do have bid numbers at your event, and you would love a cool, new way to raise money with them, then feast your fundraising brain on this clever idea.
Last week, I was a gala event where they started their auction with a simple ask. Can you help feed our volunteers? They’re working extra hard to make this a fantastic event and a $20 gift will give them all the energy they need to keep this fabulous party going.
Almost every bid card was in the air. And 200+ bid cards at $20 each? How many more people could your nonprofit serve with all that donor goodness?
Everyone has something they need to hear. For donors, it’s thank you. But let’s say you have one particular donor, a crazy awesome, your generosity is out of the world, kind of supporter. What kind of thank you could you possibly extend that is as delightful as they are? Two words: card shower.
